The Rosebud Alpaca herd live happily alongside our hens in bio secure paddocks, we do not take our alpacas to shows or off of our farm but we do enter fleece shows and are proud of our prize winners. We send our top quality rosette winning fleece to the mill and sell the finished yarn.
Our very first batch of yarn came home with a lovely note from the mill ' Two of the very best quality fleeces that blended well. The fibre is from silky stock. Both fleeces were well prepared and ran faultlessly. The finished yarn is uniform with a very bright lustre and a handle that 99% of breeders dream of and aspire to. The yarn is among the very best.'
If you would like to purchase some quality yarn or raw fleece please contact us for more info. We also offer handmade alpaca felted natural soaps, horse tack such as western cinches, dressage girths, mecate reins and dog collars. Our cinch and yarn came 1st in their categories at the Somerset County Show 2019.
We occasionally have alpacas for sale to 5 star homes, please email us for more information -
Meet some of the Rosebud alpacas
This is Scarlette ( Eringa Park Scarlette), she is our oldest and sweetest, she keeps the girls in their place and is a valuable member of the herd, she was originally imported from Australia and has been a good mum over the years. She has looked after the weanlings and we hope will see her grandcria born here on the Ranch. Scarlette's grandmother was called Rosebud, this is a coincidence but a lovely one and very apt.
This is TOC ( Harefield Touch of Class) with her new cria Oak ( Rosebud Okanagan), she is a great mum and the matriarch within the herd. She is also mum to our special first girl Kelowna ( Rosebud Kelowna Sunrise).
This is Oak ( Rosebud Okanagan ), he was born summer '18 and his parents are TOC and our lovely stud Teddy ( honeyfield Watchman), he really looks like a mini Teddy. Oak likes to spend his days running around with his buddy Red.
This is Grace ( Honeyfield Amazing Grace) and her new cria Red (Rosebud Red Eclipse). Grace has 'silky' genes, she is incredibly sweet and the most beautiful out of the girls, she has very pretty eyes, lovely fleece and an elegant frame. Her son Red is as beautiful as she is, he will be a heartbreaker!! Red was born 28th July '18, the morning after the Lunar Eclipse so we named him Red, he is the first cria to be born on the ranch.
